Internationally Renowned Mineta Transportation Institution Partners with the "Transformational

New Series partnership creates a sustainable transportation powerhouse, with Island Press’ publications, MTI’s research, and CalGreen’s / TransportiCA’s advocacy.

SACRAMENTO, Calif.–With its mission of “Highlighting sustainable transportation transformations,” the California Green Academy (“CalGreen”), its sustainable transportation program TransportiCA, and landmark sustainability publisher Island Press, welcomes the internationally renowned research body Mineta Transportation Institute (“MTI”), as a new partner for the “Transformational Speaker Series.”

The Series is a monthly webinar featuring some of the greatest minds in sustainability, urban mobility, and innovative and active transport. Attendance to any webinar is always free, and all videos are posted online, immediately after.

“We are incredibly honored to welcome MTI as a partner with the Series; given MTI’s absolute dominance in global sustainable transportation research, policy acumen, and technical expertise, the Series will be, without any doubt, far more transformational than before, bringing a new level of skill,” stated Greg Justice, CalGreen’s Chief Sustainability Officer (CEO/ED), and TransportiCA’s Editor.

With further partnership comments, Jen Hawse, Partnership Manager for Island Press, shared, “MTI’s participation in the ‘Transformational Speaker Series’ will add even more value to an already free and important learning resource. With their partnership, our hope is the Series reaches an even broader audience of professionals, policy makers, and thought leaders in the transportation community.”

“The Transformational Speaker Series has the power to move research into practice. This series allows transportation professionals, academics, students, advocates, and interested community members the opportunity to connect with leading scholars on critical issues. We are delighted to partner on this initiative,” added Dr. Karen Philbrick, Executive Director of MTI.
