With the issuance of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) 02 February 2021 Mask Order, and the Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) Security Directive 1582/84-21-01B (14 Sep - 18 Jan 2022), wearing a face mask is required, while on conveyances, and at indoor transport hubs.  The detailed mandates not only require masks while using transit services, but also when waiting indoors, for such services.

Long Beach Transit's Galaxy Express Shuttle: through 07 November.

Marin Transit: Free transit for older adults (65+) and disabled passengers. 

     (Through 31 March 2022.)

Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT): Free rides on the Natomas-

     North Sacramento SmaRT service, through 31 October.

Sonoma County Transit: Only local routes 10, 12, 14, 24, 28, 32, 66, 67, and 68

     are free. (Through 31 December.)

Yosemite Area Regional Transportation System (YARTS)free fares are only         for Mariposa and Merced County residents, and you submit an application for

     the discount.

*As of this date, the latest update. **For transit systems with no dates listed, fare suspension is, "until further notice."  ***Until further notice, Madera Metro's Route 2 and Route 3 are now demand-response services.  ****Only Routes 2A (McCloud-Weed-Yreka), 3B (McCloud-Yreka-Montague), and 4A (Scott Valley-Yreka-Montague-Hornbrook) are in operations; there is no weekend service, and STAGE no longer offers flag stops - passengers must travel to the nearest designated bus stop.  *****All fixed-route services, with the exception of Routes 1 and 2, have been suspended and converted into a Dial-A-Ride service.
