CalGreen Commends the Tireless Work of CalNonprofits

Continuing the fight to preserve the voice and resources of California’s unmatched social sector, CalNonprofits concludes another year, working hard and nonstop, for the Causes that Count.

SACRAMENTO, Calif.–Because of its mission to advance systems thinking and the Triple Bottom Line, the California Green Academy (“CalGreen”), commends the California Association of Nonprofits (“CalNonprofits”), for their dedicated, continuous, and powerful work, especially in these unparalleled times, facing the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to the comprehensive 2019 update of their landmark “Causes Count” study, CalNonprofits has spearheaded the incredible effort of coordinating and promoting all resources available, to California’s social sector, making sure the pandemic does not decimate this critical sector. “Amidst a global pandemic–not seen in most of our lifetimes, I am incredibly grateful for the work undertaken by CalNonprofits, and the sense of duty and urgency in making sure California’s nonprofits are safe, resilient, and have the potential to maintain productive business operations, even with this unprecedented health emergency, at all levels of society,” stated Greg Justice, CalGreen’s Chief Sustainability Officer (ED).

“Given the incredible amount of labor performed by CalNonprofits, supporting them with a membership is a meaningful investment, and CalGreen is especially proud of our membership, in addition to, the unmatched resources, services, and professional network available, for ours, and every members’ use,” stated Robert Brodie, Board Treasurer. CalNonprofits’ COVID-19 resources have also been made available for non-members, including vital pandemic-related operational information and policy analyses, from a mix of state and national sites.
