Simone P. Joyaux Appointed Advisory Council Vice-Chair
The international fundraising and philanthropy expert is unanimously elected to the consulting body.
SACRAMENTO, Calif.–With its mission to advance systems thinking and the Triple Bottom Line, the California Green Academy (“CalGreen”), is proud to announce its unanimous election of Simone P. Joyaux, as Vice-Chair of CalGreen’s Advisory Council. Joyaux is an international consultant, author, professor, and expert in nonprofit leadership / board governance, fund development, philanthropy, and strategic planning.
“I am incredibly thankful to Ms. Joyaux for accepting this call to service, and to CalGreen’s Board for unanimously appointing her. Ms. Joyaux is a highly decorated, global expert in all-things nonprofit, having LITERALLY wrote the books on so many important sector issues in fund development, philanthropy, and governance,” stated Greg Justice, Chief Sustainability Officer (CEO/ED).
The Advisory Council provides critical and professional analysis, recommending best practices for all programs and campaigns, organizational matters, as well as, legal and technical issues. In addition to Joyaux’s leadership, Dr. Charles Rivasplata serves as the Council’s Chair. The California Green Academy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, recognized by the IRS, and California’s Franchise Tax Board and Registry of Charitable Trusts. Having (c)(3) status, donations to CalGreen are 100% tax-deductible.
