CalGreen Thanks our #GivingTuesday Supporters

Despite not obtaining our fundraising goal, donors are greatly appreciated for their investment.

SACRAMENTO, Calif.–With its mission to advance systems thinking and the Triple Bottom Line, the California Green Academy (CalGreen) is incredibly appreciative of our #GivingTuesday donors (27 Nov), and looks forward to the many lessons learned, for next year’s fundraiser.

#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving, fueled by social media and collaboration. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, and after Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many nonprofits focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.

“Although we concluded the fundraiser far less than our desired goal, we are still exceedingly thankful to those who took the time to support CalGreen on #GivingTuesday, providing us some much-needed investment for carrying out our mission,” stated Greg Justice, CalGreen’s Chief Sustainability Officer.

For CalGreen’s first #GivingTuesday campaign, many lessons were learned from the fundraiser–especially, further best practices, and will be applied immediately to CalGreen’s upcoming annual campaign–occurring throughout December.
