Major Congratulations are in Order for CalGreen's Chair
Despite state and nationwide declines, CalGreen's Chair Del Mundo passes the California Bar Exam.
SACRAMENTO, Calif.–With its mission to advance systems thinking and the Triple Bottom Line, the California Green Academy (“CalGreen”) celebrates Board Chair Miguel Eduardo Del Mundo (pictured above) for passage of the July 2018 California Bar Exam–long considered the nation’s most challenging state bar exam. Administered in July, 8,071 applicants completed the exam, with a total of 41% (3,284) passing. For first-time applicants–Del Mundo included, the passage rate was over 55%. Despite the California Supreme Court’s initiative to make the bar's passage ‘more realistic,’ the state’s passage rate declined 9%, since July 2017. “We are immensely proud of Chair Del Mundo’s passing the bar, and we had no doubt of his success, even with the low pass rates. The amount of time he invested in studying was incredible, and we are a much better organization, because of his success,” stated Greg Justice, CalGreen’s Chief Sustainability Officer (CEO/ED). Del Mundo took the exam at the Pasadena Convention Center, having earned his Juris Doctor in May, from Pepperdine’s School of Law. Further, he completed his undergraduate studies at USC, and has also served as a Public Policy Fellow at Princeton University, and a Law Fellow, at the University of California, Los Angeles. Additional information about the California Bar Exam can be accessed at the State Bar’s website, and further information on the July 2018 exam–including nationwide results, can be accessed here.
