TransportiCA Covering the 3rd Biennial California Adaptation Forum (27-29 Aug)
The three-day, statewide conference focuses on adaptation and mitigation, engaging attendees with understandings of equitable community solutions.
SACRAMENTO, Calif.–With its mission to advance systems thinking and the Triple-Bottom Line, the California Green Academy (“CalGreen”) is proud to be reporting from the third biennial California Adaptation Forum (“Forum”), occurring next week in Sacramento.
The biennial Forum gathers the adaptation community, fostering knowledge exchange, innovation, and mutual support, creating resilient communities throughout the state. The Forum offers a series of engaging plenaries, sessions, networking opportunities, workshops, and tours, enhancing California’s transition from adaptation awareness and planning, to action and implementation. While a multitude of disciplines will be addressed, TransportiCA’s reporting will focus on air quality, social equity and environmental justice, energy, planning and urban design, and transportation.
“The Forum has become a critical policy summit for climate change adaptation and mitigation, and serves as a crucial affiliate to the Global Climate Action Summit, held next month in San Francisco. We are excited to cover the Forum, and we look forward to reporting-on the developing best practices and technical advancements,” stated Greg Justice, CalGreen’s Chief Sustainability Officer (CEO/ED).
The California Adaptation Forum is a joint effort between the Local Government Commission and the State of California, and takes place 27-29 August in Sacramento. TransportiCA’s Forum tweets can be viewed @TransCAEvents–posted with the Forum’s official hashtag “#CAadapts,” and videos from TransportiCA’s coverage will be posted to YouTube.
