Dr. Kenneth Pierce is July's Presenter for the Nonprofit Sector Speaker Series: "Grant Writ

With his expertise and passion for social justice and transforming the lives of at-risk youth, Dr. Pierce speaks about the power of the pen, with ‘Grant Writing for a Greater Cause.’

SACRAMENTO, Calif.–With its mission to advance systems thinking and the Triple-Bottom Line, the California Green Academy, in partnership with the University of San Francisco’s Masters of Nonprofit Administration program, is proud to announce Dr. Kenneth Pierce as the Series’ July 2018 presenter.

Dr. Pierce (pictured above) is Founder, CEO, and Principal Consultant at Pierce Consulting, LLC. His background includes professional services for social justice organizations, programs that aid at-risk youth, and various higher-education appointments in the social sciences.

“We are incredibly excited for Dr. Pierce’s lecture, and the best practices he will be imparting to attendees. The Series has previously discussed fundraising, but has never gone into depth about grant writing–its ability as a catalyst for social equity, and overall, the greater good of a cause and community. Further, Dr. Pierce’s extensive education and teaching in sociology brings a new level to such development, and why diversity should be the social sector’s foundation,” stated Greg Justice, CalGreen’s Chief Sustainability Officer.

The Series’ July webinar takes place Tuesday the 31st, from 11:00-12:00 PST (13:00-14:00 CST), streaming live at: https://usfca.zoom.us/j/751230456. (Registration not required.) You can follow the Series on Twitter and YouTube, and connect with Pierce Consulting, LLC on Facebook and Twitter. ![endif]--
