CalGreen Establishes Amazon Smile Account
Supporting the important work of sustainable transportation education, planning, and advocacy will be made easier with AmazonSmile, donating while you shop.
SACRAMENTO, Calif.–With its mission to advance systems thinking and the Triple-Bottom Line, the California Green Academy (“CalGreen”) is proud to announce the formation of an AmazonSmile (“Smile”) profile. Smile is a service of Amazon, allowing nonprofit organizations 0.05% receipt of qualified purchases, and is accessible to all Amazon users.
“This is an excellent opportunity for CalGreen supporters to help us achieve our goals, while doing what we enjoy doing most–shopping. We are ecstatic this option is now available, and remind everyone to please visit to Smile’s website [smile.amazon.com] to select CalGreen as the recipient,” stated Bob Brodie, board member and Treasurer.
Smile accounts are afforded to qualifying nonprofits who have registered with GuideStar. As noted in a prior release (CNR-2018-01), CalGreen recently earned “Gold” certification from GuideStar, as a result of policies and operations on transparency, openness, and overall board governance.
To establish CalGreen as your Smile beneficiary, Amazon users should go to smile.amazon.com, and select the “California Green Academy” as one’s Smile charity. CalGreen’s AmazonSmile profile can be accessed directly at: https://smile.amazon.com/ch/82-0784342, and the GuideStar profile can be viewed at: https://www.guidestar.org/profile/82-0784342.
