Welcome Board Member Cindy Blain!

CalGreen is incredibly proud to welcome Cindy Blain as our newest member of the Board. Cindy serves as the Executive Director of California ReLeaf, a statewide nonprofit whose mission is to, "empower grassroots efforts and build strategic partnerships that preserve, protect, and enhance California’s urban and community forests." Cindy has previously been with the Sacramento Tree Foundation, and has significant nonprofit, coalition-building and public policy backgrounds.

Cindy brings to CalGreen the important public health and urban forestry perspective; in environments with developed urban canopies, riders are more likely to embrace active transportation (walking, biking, skateboarding, etc.) - the most sustainable forms of transport. Further, her leadership in bringing diverse perspectives and unheard voices to environmental protection arenas, and her embracing the "Green 2.0" movement make her an excellent addition to CalGreen.

We look forward to Cindy's many contributions to the Board and advancing the mission of CalGreen, as well as, further welcomes at our first Board meeting on 24 June.
