The "Rosa Parks Transit Service Days" is a weekend-long program, dedicated to promoting volunteerism for public transportation agencies. Services provided by volunteers benefit all riders, reminding us, transit is for everyone.  The program focuses especially on volunteer service enhancing the transit experience for ADA riders.  The Transit Services Days is held annually on the first weekend of December, commemorating the day of Ms. Parks' monumental 1955 arrest - an event in which she sat down on a bus, so others could stand up for civil rights and equality.
