CalGreen Celebrates its Third Anniversary!

Another year brings newfangled and greater opportunities, and a continued commitment to excellence.

SACRAMENTO, Calif.– With its mission to advance systems thinking and the Triple Bottom Line, the California Green Academy (“CalGreen”) is empowered to celebrate its third anniversary, reaffirming its dedication to quality programming. In its three years of operations, CalGreen has established program partnerships with Island Press, San Jose State University’s Urban and Regional Planning Department, and the Mineta Transportation Institute; has welcomed its first official member–the internationally renowned nonprofit fundraising and philanthropy professor and expert, Simone P. Joyaux, ACFRE, AdvDip, FAFP; as well as, was invited to report-on 2018’s Global Climate Action Summit, and the 2018 and 2020 California Adaptation Forums. Additionally, as early as its second year, CalGreen secured GuideStar’s “Platinum Certification”–the premier honor for nonprofit governance and administration. “CalGreen is incredibly proud to enter its fourth year, remaining focused on our mission and vision, and integrating our work with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. With our staff, programs, and most importantly, supporters having grown since our founding, CalGreen remains obstinate in our transparent and best practice-led governance, resourceful administration, and efficient and innovative service delivery,” remarked Greg Justice, CalGreen’s founder and Chief Sustainability Officer (CEO/ED).
