TransportiCA Reporting from the 9th Annual Silicon Valley Bike Summit

This year’s event is grounded upon transportation equity and mobility justice.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – With its mission to advance systems thinking and the Triple Bottom Line, the California Green Academy (“CalGreen”), through its sustainable transport blog “TransportiCA,” is excited to be reporting from the eighth annual Silicon Valley Bike Summit (“Summit”), hosted by the Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition (“SVBC”) and the City of Mountain View, with presenting sponsor JUMP. Occurring 01 August, the Summit has become one of the state’s premier conferences for bicycling and active/sustainable transport. Additionally, TransportiCA will stream the Summit live on YouTube–TransportiCA Events, continuing its efforts from last year, when viewers throughout the world tuned in. “TransportiCA has been reporting from the Summit since the 2016 event, and we are amazed at the comprehensiveness of SVBC–being a regional organization, yet providing multi-jurisdictional/level understandings of the most critically important bicycling and active transportation issues; we always look forward to the Summit,” remarked Greg Justice, TransportiCA founder, and CalGreen’s CSO (ED). The Summit takes place Thursday, 01 August, from 09:30-17:00, at the Mountain View Community Center. Advanced registration is highly encouraged, but will also be available at the Summit. The draft agenda (current as of this release) can be viewed here, TransportiCA’s live tweets can be viewed @TransCAEvents (with the hashtag #svbikesummit), and all reports will be filed later on TransportiCA.
