TransportiCA eagerly awaits reporting-on the pinnacle annual finance event.

SACRAMENTO, Calif.–With its mission to advance systems thinking and the Triple-Bottom Line, the California Green Academy (“CalGreen”) is thrilled to report live at the Ninth Annual Mineta National Transportation Finance Summit. Taking place Friday, 22 June in San Francisco, this year’s summit is titled, “Paving the Way to a Better Future–The Implementation of SB1 Funds,” and will be covered live by TransportiCACalGreen’s sustainable transportation program.

“The Mineta Transportation Institute is an internationally renowned research institution, and their publications are sought-after for their comprehensiveness and systems integration, not to mention the incredible treasure they provide the transportation community. We are excited to cover the summit and look forward to this year’s keynote and panel discussions, especially given California voters’ landslide passage of Prop. 69 last week,” stated Greg Justice, CalGreen’s Chief Sustainability Officer.

Summit speakers and panelists include a “Who’s-Who” of regional and state transportation leaders and academics, with opening speaker Norman Y. Mineta–U.S. Secretary of Transportation (retired), as well as, keynote speaker Laurie Berman, Director of the California Department of Transportation.

The event takes place from 09:00-11:30 PST at the Commonwealth Club in San Francisco, located conveniently near the Embarcadero BART and MUNI stations, blocks from the Amtrak / Capitol Corridor Financial District shuttle stop (SFF), and a short walk from the Temporary Transbay Terminal. Attendance to the summit is free, but registration closes at 14:00, Thursday, 21 June.

Founded in May 2015, TransportiCA is CalGreen’s flagship program, focusing on the education and promotion of sustainable transportation: “Mobility meeting the Triple-Bottom Line.” The 2018 summit will be reported-on live, via TransportiCA’s events Twitter handle–@TransCAEvents, pre- and post-summit videos featured on its YouTube channel, as well as, real-time reports filed on its website.
